Anjuna markets…

8:26 am

this looks like a great market to pick up some unique global finds…add this to my list of places to go…..

Held every Wednesday morning except during the monsoons, the Anjuna Flea Market is held at one corner in Anjuna beach. If you happen to be in  Anjuna on Wednesdays, you cannot help but notice the increase in traffic and the exciting buzz that is prevalent everywhere. You won’t need to ask anybody for directions; almost every 2 and 4 wheeler in Anjuna is sure to be heading towards the flea market. This is a completely novel experience quite unlike shopping anywhere else in Goa. Initially it started off as a trading place for tourists who wanted to try and sell off their personal items to get some cash when they ran low. Today however, the Anjuna Flea Market is full of hawkers from all over India selling interesting bric a brac that ranges from colorful Rajasthani bed covers and jewelry to Kashmiri handicrafts made of stone and marble inlay.
